Katie and Grant are a husband and wife team that share a passion for empowering all children. Over the last 15 years, they got married, had a miraculous kid, worked with thousands of children and families, helped develop and run a large scale Reggio inspired preschool inclusion program and created Superheroes Club, an inclusive social skills experience that empowers and connects children through their strengths and differences. They formed their own early education comapany, Awaken Education LLC, as a base of operations for their goal of serving the children and families of Atlanta and beyond.

Scott has been teaching and coaching children of all abilities for over ten years. He has a Master's degree in Education with an emphasis on multiple and severe disabilities with a concentration in Autism from Georgia State University. He was able to successfully blend this degree with his undergraduate degree in Recreation and Leisure from the University of Georgia by developing and directing sports programs for neurodiverse children. One of the sports programs, a rock climbing team that emphasizes social skills for neurodiverse children, adolescents and young adults is still in existence. Scott's passion is evident when he is working with children through different activities that involve education, play and social participation - it is here that his qualities of patience, kindness and humor stand out.
